Paul Wesley, who played one of the “Three Little Pigs” in the first season of CBS All Access’ dark fairy tale anthology series ‘Tell Me A Story’ is coming back for Season 2.  The series was created by Kevin Williamson (‘The Vampire Diaries’, ‘Scream’), based on the telenovela ‘Cuéntame un Cuento’, and takes classic fairy tales and twists them into dark modern stories usually involving crime, sex, drugs, and other seedy topics.  The first season featured stories inspired by ‘The Three Little Pigs’, ‘Little Red Riding Hood’, and ‘Hansel and Gretel’.  As mentioned, Wesley played one of the pigs, a bartender/drug dealer/addict named Eddie Longo.  The three stories were separate, but connected.  This being an anthology, Season 2 will tell new stories with new characters
Season 2 will adapt the stories ‘Beauty and the Beast’, ‘Sleeping Beauty’, and ‘Cinderella’.  Like the first season, it’s a sure bet that these stories will connect, but it remains to be seen if they will actually connect to the events of Season 1.
Wesley will play a struggling novelist named Tucker.  Here is a description:
A struggling novelist, Tucker spends his sleepless nights toiling away in a secluded cabin in the woods and his days trying to prove he’s good enough for his beautiful fiancée. But it’s all about to come crashing down as a dark secret threatens to destroy his world.
Based on that, I think his story is ‘Beauty and the Beast’, but it’s not clear.
‘Tell Me a Story’ hails from Williamson and Aaron Kapaln’s Kapital Entertainment.  Wesley’s casting in Season 1 led to a deal between Kapital and his own Citizen Media, with the two companies now developing multiple projects including a supernatural crime drama ‘Possessed’ based on a Korean project.  Welsey is also developing ‘Confessions Of a Drug-Addicted High School Teacher’ a fact-based drama series in which he plans to star.
This is the first announcement regarding ‘Tell Me a Story’ Season 2.  The first series also starred James Wolk, Billy Magnussen, Dania Ramirez, Zabryna Guevara, Kim Cattrall, and more.  Hopefully, some of them will also return.
